Jim Byrne enjoys a broad assortment of physical activities in his spare time, having played soccer and baseball in his youth. Today, he is an avid golfer and plays softball on the side. He is an active member of the Rancho Maria Men’s Golf Club where he served as a past president. He donates his time to local charities and hosts many of their events and fundraisers.
Among these include cancer charity Cruzin’ For Life, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Santa Maria Valley YMCA, and the Santa Maria-Bonita School District’s “Shoes for Students” golf tournament and fundraiser.
Originally from Dublin in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has since made Santa Maria home for the last 17 years.
