Known as “the Weather Guy,” weatherman Jim Byrne serves as the consulting meteorologist for the Weather Channel program “So you think you’d survive.”

He is an alumnus of San Jose State University and is an appointed member of the Community Advisory Council for the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District. He had also been the chief meteorologist for KCOY CBS-12 and as a freelance weekend meteorologist at NBC Bay Area. In addition, he has appeared in many TV advertisements for Santa Maria Auto Mall.
